Hon. Olowa, One Of The Best Council Chairmen In Nigeria - Adebanjo.

A progressive minded businessman turned Secretary of Ibeju-Lekki Local Government Area, Hon. Adewale Adebanjo, has described the Chairman, Ibeju-Lekki Local Government Area, Hon. Sesan Olowa, as one of the best council executives in Nigeria.

Speaking during an interview, he revealed the success story of the Chairman and stressed the need for the electorate to give him their mandate for a second term. Excerpts:

Q: From your point of view, do you think the administration of Hon Olowa has actually met the expectations of the electorate?

A: I am very proud to serve under the administration of Engr (Hon) Sesan Olowa because in the history of Ibeju-Lekki Local Government, we have never witnessed a council Chairman that is so committed to the interest of the electorate.In the area of infrastructure, education, primary healthcare center, job creation, and youth development, he has done extremely well. Having said that he has also enhanced the unity of purpose in the political landscape of the Local Government Area as he has called all political actors to a round table for maximum development of the LGA. We have what we call the apex body in the Local Government which involves all political leaders, federal and state appointees among others in the political class and we are glad today that politically, Ibeju-Lekki Local Government is at the fore front.

These developments gave his administration a leverage for administrative efficiency while he remained focused towards ensuring the economic prosperity of the council area. In Lagos State today, Ibeju-Lekki has one of the most outstanding edifices as its office secretariat which is a positive legacy that future generations could build upon. This, by extension, creates a conducive atmosphere for political appointees among other career officers to discharge their respective duties. The current administration has constructed several road networks across wards in the Local Government Area, we have constructed new legislative building including a housing scheme which will soon be commissioned by Governor Sanwoolu. Beyond every reasonable doubt, Hon Sesan Olowa has continued to work hard towards meeting the expectations of the electorate and this was why the apex body of the party gave him the mandate to go for a second term in office as it will allow him consolidate on his past achievements in office.It is imperative for the electorate to cast their votes for him during the July 12 council elections in the state and I can assure you that the chairman will not relent on his efforts towards making Ibeju-Lekki Local Government Area one of the best in the country.
